This is a catalog of certain accomplishments, a visual inventory of what I have produced. This collection, while not exactly a ‘portfolio,’ represents my interests in communication—with language, images, and Web-based media. Please enjoy. Editing
Outside of my day job as a copy editor, I do freelance editing. This work has usually focused on educational materials for English language instruction. I have editorial credits on more than a dozen college-level ESL textbooks as well as on multi-component grammar series.
Photography
Photography has been a constant in my life since my father gave me his Olympus OM-1 for the summer I spent in China as a high school student. Though I drifted from other creative pursuits, such as painting and drawing, I always come back to photography.
Web design
I began college as a studio art major (drawing and painting), backed by a Georgia O’Keefe scholarship, but redirected myself and graduated with a degree in English instead. Now my creative outlet is typesetting for the Web, creating theme templates for blogging software.
