@Luis, thanks.

@Alfans, not the same Scott as the director, but the subway line for the station above is the same.

@Tony, unless you're already a rangefinder user, I wouldn't suggest the M9. Secondhand M8s are reasonable, though. My digital cam recommendation would be an Olympus E-P1 or a Lu mix GF1. Both make exceptional images, are small, and are reasonably priced.

Hey Scott,
I'm looking for a good/semi-pro digital camera. I'm using your veryplaintxt theme on my site and so followed you here.

Looking at the pricetag of the M9...whoa. Can you recommend something that won't force me to sell one of my kidneys to buy it? The Pelham pic is awesome, btw.

Thanks for the theme, I really like the simplicity, and I've received a lot of positive feedback from my readers.

Congrats on the camera. The "sacrifice" in gear is truly worth it, I agree. I couldn't make the move myself outside of a miracle. Enjoy the camera...continue taking great images like this one.

Michelangelo and Da Vinci used charcoal and their wits about them, Van Gogh's starry night was made with brushes and his yellows, and blues and a warm heart on a canvass, Picasso's uncanny artistic distorsions with his style made him unique and Dali's eccentrism and imagination were magnets that his work possessed that up to now many are attracted. Whether one has a $30,000 digital camera or an ancient film camera in his hands, that's not the issue, what counts is the artist that wields it.

I have tons of Nikon 35mm film cameras sitting around (six bodies, 14 lens and lots of accessories).

Would love to move over to Leica.

Where's the best place to sell the Nikon gear?
