Director Tony Scott is filming his remake of The Taking of Pelham 1:23 at the (elevated) subway stop near my place in Woodside, NY. Fingers crossed because I (a) love Woodside, (b) enjoyed Man on Fire, and (c) hated Deja Vu.

Before you begin
Scott is an editor living in Queens, New York, who enjoys language (specifically English). He is strangely fascinated with Web typesetting, if such a thing exists. Scott is married to Binita, for whom he once ghost wrote a blog about court reporting for almost two years. They have been married four.

I’ve never quite understood people’s fascination with Tony Scott. He seems to direct movies where the entire weight of the film is on the bigshot actors.
Tony Scott is rather prolific. And his crap to quality ratio is a precarious 1:1. The last movie I saw with some Woodside in it was Saving Face. And the 7 train stop in Woodside is rather scenic. So the debate for us will be to shell out $10 for theater seats or wait for Netflix.
